children being forced to bow down to Islam…literally

European children being forced to bow down to Islam…literally

European children are being brainwashed into ‘respecting’ Islam with school-organized mosque visits and syllabuses that give undue prominence to a mythical Islamic ‘Golden Age.’

The picture below is from La Roche in France. The newspaper headline says “School pupils immerse themselves in Islam at La Roche mosque.”
Islam vs Europe  Here’s an excerpt from the British government website that provides information on the national curriculum. It describes a programme of lessons called “The Achievement of Muhammad (pbuh)” and discusses how to grade the childrens’ essays, quoting a few examples:
Over a number of lessons, the pupils had read and discussed texts about Muhammad’s (pbuh) life, covering his family’s reaction to his claims, as well as the reaction of people in Mecca and Medina. The pupils debated Muhammad’s (pbuh) achievements in groups and as a class.
As homework the teacher asked the pupils to answer the following assessment questions: Discuss the main events in Muhammad’s (pbuh) life that led others to believe he was a prophet from Allah (attainment target 1 beliefs, teachings and sources). What do you think Muhammad (pbuh) achieved in his life? (attainment target 2 meaning, purpose and truth).
Here’s a photo from of a trip to a mosque where British female students are forced to bow down to Allah:
Here are some excerpts from the children’s essays:
JOHN: “I think the main events in Muhammad’s life which led others to believe he was a prophet were when he had a vision from Gabriel in a cave outside Mecca. Some may think that he could have made it up but I think he was telling the truth because he was so convinced and honest that it could well have happened. Also he has so much to back him up and he couldn’t have just made it all up. Personally I think Muhammad was a great man and he had much strength and courage to do what he did and he has only God to thank for that.”
ALEX: Muhammad achieved an extremely big thing in his life. Creating a religion is very hard but creating a religion that is the second biggest in the world is even harder.
LAURA: Muhammad left his country and moved to Medina. During his time there he saw how much hatred there was, so he took it upon himself to do something about it. He brought the Medinian and Meccan Muslims together, and got them working alongside each other. …He preached to people who believed in many gods ad whose lives were full of sin and united religions and differences… I believe spreading the news of what you believe in, and totally changing a country from bad to good is a great achievement in anyone’s life.
[Message to American parents from BNI: Your children may be subjected to the same kind of Islamic brainswashing in their schools. Make sure you know what/if they are teaching them about Islam and raise Hell with the school board at any hints of Islamic indoctrination. It has already happened in some US public schools and American parents have succeeded in getting it eliminated from the curriculum]
It happens here in the USA

Muslim Parade~ Muslim Girls Sing, “For you (Allah) I give my life”

Exclusive~ Muslim Parade~ Muslim Girls Sing, “For you (Allah) I give my life”

October 5, 2011
By
Today we continue with part II coverage of NYC’s 26Th annual Muslim Day Parade.
Here comes the second and third waves of the slaves of Allah.

The fourth wave, and another Sharia cop.

They are still coming. Is the waving man in the car the next Mayor of NY? I wouldn’t be surprise.

Next, the Islamic parade floats come down Madison Avenue:

Now we get to see the Mohammad promoting float.

According to Koran verse 33:21, the actions of Mohammad the liar, rapist, slave owner, and warmonger, are to be followed for all times.
033.021
YUSUFALI: Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah.
What a role model….
A fitting end.

After the march down Madison Ave, they gathered on 27Th street to listen to the speech givers of the event. They also decided to recite from the Koran and broadcast it into the streets of NYC.

Islam is clearly at war with us. Did we allow Nazis to assemble like this during WWII? How times have changed. (For the worse)
If you found that video disturbing, you will find the next one even more disturbing. These poor young girls have already been handed over as slaves to Allah.

What a sad day for America.
Islam is an internal disorder to mankind, it must be stopped!

The Jihad Against Dogs

The Jihad Against Dogs

Faith Are Spanish Muslims Waging an Anti-Dog Jihad by Poisoning Them?

A series of suspicious dog poisonings in northeast Spain have led some local residents to believe that a Jihad is being waged by the Muslim community against beloved family pets.
About a dozen dogs were poisoned in the city of Lerida in the Catalonia region of Spain last month, and the insidious canine killings come in the midst of a broader public spat between the region’s Muslims and dog owners.
All of the dogs fed poison were found in the heavily Muslim neighborhoods of Cappont and La Bordeta. In recent years there have been many others dogs poisoned in these same areas under foul play circumstances.
Many residents point to the Muslim community for these attacks because of continued complaints from them that dogs are unclean. In fact, Lerida’s Muslims believe dogs should be banned from public spaces.
Over the past few months, Muslim residents have also harassed dog owners taking their pets for walks in public. In response to these threatening displays, a group of 50 Catalan residents have arranged six-person rotating patrols to protect dogs and their owners in public.
Muslim residents have even taken their anti-dog agenda to local politicians. In an attempt to essentially  ban dogs outside the home this past July, Right Side News wrote that two Islamic groups based in Lerida:
“asked city officials to regulate the presence of dogs in public spaces so they do not offend Muslims. Muslims are demanding that dogs be banned from all forms of public transportation including all city buses as well as from all areas frequented by Muslim immigrants.”
Graphic photos of the dead dogs have surfaced on the internet, showing animals that died right on the streets after being fed the poison.
While there is no universal guidance on dogs in the Koran, a number of Hadiths, which are stories related to the life of the prophet Muhammad, state that dogs should only be kept for work purposes such as herding cattle. The Islamic Republic of Iran, for example, has instituted laws across the country that confiscates canines not trained to assist the blind or perform work duties.
Tensions between the Muslim and non-Muslim community in Catalan have been on the rise well apart from the dog killing issue. This year along Spanish authorities in Catalonia claim they have had to step in to prevent 14 forced marriages and 24 female genital mutilations. This is among an estimated Muslim Catalan population in the city of Lerida around 30,000.
Catalonia holds separatist aims completely apart from the Muslim community, which has led in part to it’s open arms policy towards Muslim immigration. It’s resident have their own language–Catalan– and have embraced non-Spanish immigration in the hopes that the newly arrived citizens will learn the language and adapt.
With a surging Muslim immigrant community that appears anti-dog, pro-sharia, and unwilling to adapt to their new culture, the storied Catalan people could face a new cultural battle that ironically has nothing to do with Spain.

Father, Baby Killed After Palestinians Threw Rocks at Their Car

Israel - Israeli Father, Baby Killed After Palestinians Threw Rocks at Their Car, Causing it to Overturn

Israeli police said Sunday that 25-year-old Asher Palmer and his infant son Yonatan were killed in a terrorist attack after Palestinians threw rocks at their car, causing it to overturn on a highway.
It happened Friday near the Israeli settlement Kiryat Arba. Authorities originally said the wreck was due to driver error, not stone throwing, prompting accusations of a police cover up so as not to “fan the flames” of a potential Palestinian protest.
Police re-labeled it a terror attack after further investigation and an autopsy on Asher Palmer’s body revealed injuries consistent with a rock hurling, including fractures to his skull.
    Arutz Sheva reported:
Among the evidence that at first failed, for unknown reasons, to convince police that terrorists may have been involved: a hole in the front windshield of the car, a massive rock found in the front seat with human blood on it, a tear in fabric of the steeling wheel cover and dust indicating a blow from the rock, and damage to Asher Palmer’s face suggesting an impact unrelated to the crash.

“It was clearly a terrorist attack, Asher’s gun had been stolen, there were rocks inside the vehicle and it was clear Asher was hit by a rock,” Aharon Peretz, Palmer’s brother-in-law, told Y Net News. “It’s very grave that [a possible cover up] comes at the expense of a grieving family.”

North Carolina Muslims surveilled USMC base for jihad plot

Terrorism trial centers on social media

Facebook reeled in more than 750 million users in seven short years and now some alleged terrorist conspirators have made a federal case out of it in New Bern.
It’s not the first time legal concerns about the social media site have surfaced. But even as the clerk passed out copies of Maryland and South Carolina cases where its user pages were at issue, U.S. Eastern District Federal Court Judge Louise Flanagan told prosecuting and defense attorneys: “You are making law in this case. The Facebook issue is huge.
“I am very cautious because of the significance of this,” Flanagan said, after handing back a five-inch thick folder of Facebook printed pages to Assistant U.S. Attorney John Bowler.
Flanagan’s comments came near the close of court Wednesday in the high-profile terrorism trial of three Wake County men accused of conspiracy in the case.
She said the advertisements printed on the pages could adversely influence a juror, cause them “to make judgment calls” about the defendants as users. She expressed concern about her ruling because of the evolving nature of the social media site as it defines a user’s interests or assigns potential “friends” because of them.
Often users are paired with products or people because of interests gathered by website visits from cookies collected by search engines and sites they visit. Sometimes these are exchanged or funneled to advertisers.
The government had attempted to enter the Facebook exchanges as part of more than 35,000 pages of evidence in the government’s case against Hysen Sherifi, Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan and Ziyad Yaghi, who were charged in a Sept. 24, 2009 federal indictment.
The three men, part of a group known as the “Tar Heel terrorists” or “homegrown terrorists,” all face charges of conspiracy to provide material support for terrorists and conspiracy to murder, kidnap, maim and injure.
Sherifi, 27, a Kosovo native who came as a refugee at age 15 during the war there and is now a permanent U.S. resident, is also charged with illegal possession of firearms and conspiracy to kill officials of the federal government.
The Facebook exchanges surfaced as part of the testimony of the government’s first witness, FBI Agent Paul Minella. Much of the evidence in the trial hinges on whether information from Facebook pages can be introduced as evidence.
Defense attorneys, particular Hassan’s attorney Dan Boyce of Raleigh, objected to the evidence as hearsay, setting in motion the court inquiry.
After excusing the jury for lunch, Flanagan heard from government attorneys about several cases they say substantiate their claim to the legitimacy of the Facebook exchanges but she still had questions and Boyce continued his objections with conflicting case law.
Flanagan said she agreed with government attorneys’ general interpretation that verifying the source of postings is similar to verifying wiretaps “but it’s somewhat different, too.”
Boyce said he objected less to using the postings he could verify with witnesses he could cross examine but continued his objection to using the Facebook postings from those for whom he will not have that opportunity.
“I’m sensitive to that aspect of the argument,” Flanagan. “I’m somewhat in agreement with what (government) counsel has said. Let’s look at the law.”
“Pull some cases,” Flanagan said. “I want to see those cases. This may go to things like Twitter. I would benefit greatly from that.”
Wednesday morning’s testimony from Minella and cross examination by Sherifi’s New Bern defense attorney, Robert J. McAfee, showed some connection between Sherifi and Daniel Patrick “Safullah” Boyd, the man described as the “hub” of a terrorism conspiracy that led to the Middle East and Kosovo.
Boyd and his two sons charged in the indictment have pleaded guilty and await sentencing; the father faces up to life and 15 years in prison. He is expected to testify in the trial over talk and interaction between 2006 and 2009 that conspired and gave material support toward exercising a “violent jihad.”
But the FBI witness outlined undercover operations that McAfee contends lured his client into places and situations, using a former bank robber paid more than $111,000 plus a car and expenses valued at over $55,000. The money paid for the bugged apartment where Sherifi lived with the man, and the tapped telephone and hacked computer he used there.
McAfee substantiated that the informant known by codename “Jawbreaker” was also given “special benefits” after he overstayed his visa and was in the U.S. illegally.
In the beginning of Boyce’s cross examination of Minella, he substantiated that his client Hassan was not in any of the photos, wiretaps and other surveillance documents except for a summer 2007 trip to the Middle East.
Addressing Minella’s verification of Hassan’s purchase of a rifle at Dick’s Sporting Goods in March 2007, Boyce said the purchase was entirely a legal and constitutional act and that the information he provided checked out as truthful.
Afternoon testimony from the government’s second witness, Abdullah Eddarkoui, who was escorted in an out by agents, required a course for jurors in using the court’s listening technology for segments of many conversations between Eddarkoui and Boyd. Eddarkoui is Moroccan and speaks Arabic and French. He was difficult to understand and, although he spoke in open court, the public and press often could not hear him.
His testimony often came over the objections of defense attorneys but was mostly permitted by Flanagan to allow the government to begin showing how elements evolved in the conspiracy of a “violent jihad” with fellow mujahideen or “fighters for God.”
There are hundreds of hours of audio tape collected over several years.
The trial of another of the eight charged in the indictment, defendant Anes Subasic, who is defending himself, is ongoing in federal court in Greenville. The eighth defendant, Jude Kenan Mohammad, has not been apprehended.

North Carolina Muslims surveilled USMC base for jihad plot

NEW BERN, N.C. (AP) — Federal prosecutors played tapes on Wednesday of a North Carolina man describing his plans to organize a terrorist attack on the U.S. Marine Corps base in Quantico, Va.
The tape of Daniel Patrick Boyd, who pleaded guilty to federal terrorism charges in February, was played during the trial of three men accused of plotting terrorist attacks with him.
Boyd could be heard on the recording bragging about how easy it would be for him and a team to gain access to the Marine base and kidnap or kill service members and their families.
“My father was an officer,” Boyd, who converted to Islam as a teenager, says on the tapes. “What will they say, their hero’s son cutting their head off?”
What Boyd didn’t know was that the man he was speaking to, Abdullah Eddarkoui, was a paid informant for the FBI who was wearing a wire.
The secret recording Eddarkoui made of the conversation outside Boyd’s house near Raleigh was so clear frogs could be heard croaking in the background.
Eddarkoui was a key witness Wednesday as prosecutors began building their case against three men alleged to have plotted with Boyd and his sons to attack the Marine base and targets overseas.
Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan, Ziyad Yaghi and Hysen Sherifi have pleaded not guilty. A fourth defendant, Anes Subasic, has declined to have an attorney represent him and will be tried following the conclusion of the trial for the others.
FBI Agent Paul Minella, who recruited Eddarkoui to work for the government, testified that a multiyear surveillance effort used subpoenas and paid informants to collect a trove of evidence about the group, including bank records, emails, Facebook posts and audio tapes.
Boyd pleaded guilty in February to charges of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and conspiracy to murder, kidnap and injure persons in a foreign country. Now the man who liked to call himself “Safallah,” the Arabic word for “Sword of God,” is expected to testify for the prosecution.
Two of Boyd’s sons, Dylan and Zakariya Boyd, have also pleaded guilty.
Eddarkoui, a Moroccan living in the United States illegally, was working in a Durham beauty supply store in 2005 when Minella recruited him to infiltrate a Raleigh mosque and befriend Boyd, according to testimony. His FBI code name was “Jawbreaker.”
In one of the tapes made by the informant, Boyd describes a reconnaissance visit to Quantico and being surprised at how easily he could drive along streets where Marine officers lived. The fact the Virginia base is built around a town, he said, made it a better target than a more secure facility, such as Fort Bragg in North Carolina.
“The generals’ wives, they’re jogging,” he said of Quantico. “Their children are playing.”
Boyd said it would be easy to enter the home of a general and hold him hostage.
“I’ll kick in his door and take him from his bed,” he said.
One of the defendants on trial Wednesday, Hysen Sherifi, was present for some of the taped conversations. Boyd assured the informant Sherifi would participate in an attack.
“Hysen … he will do it,” Boyd told Eddarkoui. “He won’t question anything.”
Attorneys for Hassan, Yaghi and Sherfi said in their opening arguments that the men are innocent and knew nothing of Boyd’s plans. They also worked to undermine Eddarkoui’s credibility, pointing out that he got a green card making him a legal United States resident after working with the FBI.
He was also paid nearly $111,000 by the FBI over five years and given another $55,000 for expenses that included buying a car and paying rent for a Raleigh apartment wired with secret microphones.
In a taped conversation, Boyd expressed admiration for terrorist leaders that included Osama bin Laden and said the orders he heard from jihadist leaders with recordings on the Internet were clear: “Hit everything you can that hurt America and the Jew.”
After prosecutors say he was foiled in a 2007 plot to commit terrorist attacks in Israel, Boyd turned his attention to the possibility of committing a terrorist attack at home. As an example, he gave the 1994 bombing of the World Trade Center carried out by a group of men from New Jersey.
Though Boyd feared he was under surveillance, he told Eddarkoui that the United States was still a good place to plot and execute a terrorist attack.
“Before you had to be smart,” Boyd told the government informant wearing a concealed microphone. “Now you have to be really smart.”
In audio recordings of conversations between Boyd and Jawbreaker that were played in court, Boyd talked about his intentions to attack Quantico. He spoke of how easy it would be to get on the base because it’s also a city.
“I did some preliminary reconnaissance, and what I saw was amazing. I saw the residences of all their commanding officers,” Boyd said in one recording, adding that Sherifi was in on the plan.
Jawbreaker said Boyd was intensely loyal to Afghanistan, where he traveled in 1989 to join the fight against Soviet occupation. Boyd always wanted to fight non-Muslims, the informant said.
“Every single day, it was about jihad and fighting,” Jawbreaker testified.
An FBI search of Boyd’s Willow Spring home in 2009 turned up about two dozen guns and more than 27,000 rounds of ammunition.
A seventh defendant, Anes Subasic, is representing himself and will be tried after the case against Hassan, Yaghi and Sherifi is finished. Their trial is expected to last five weeks.
Authorities believe another man charged in the case, Jude Kenan Mohammad, 22, is in Pakistan. A ninth member of the group, Bajram Asllani, 30, was arrested in Kosovo last year, but the U.S. doesn’t have an extradition treaty with that country.
Jude Kenan Mohammad was the name used to stir up fear, and trample liberties, this past 9/11.

So why give them more money??

So why give them more money??

Pakistan: 50 Islamic scholars issue fatwa for jihad against U.S., order Muslims to stop calling America a "super power"

The term "aggression" used in the fatwa is vague, and likely to be deliberately so: all hell can break loose at a time and place of their choosing. "Fatwa for Jihad against America," from The Nation, September 26:
LAHORE – As many as 50 religious scholars associated with the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), a conglomerate of 20 Barelvi school of thought groups, have declared that Jihad against the US would be obligatory for the entire [sic] in case of aggression against the country.
In recent months, the SIC has threatened "anarchy" if Asia Bibi is pardoned for blasphemy, and staged protests demanding Pope Benedict XVI apologize for criticizing the blasphemy law.
According a press release issued here on Sunday, the scholars had issued a decree for Jihad against the US, terming it real Jihad in defence of the homeland.
The fatwa also declared as haram (illegitimate) calling the US super power, saying only Allah Almighty deserved the title.
The scholars called upon the government to end the country’s role as front-line state in the so-called US war on terror and try to establish a new bloc comprising China, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. They also urged the government to start preaching Jihad in the way of God with the armed forces making preparations to counter any foreign aggression. They urged all politicians to bring back their assets from abroad as well as returning bank loans got through political influence.

Broward County Republicans deny a Muslim Brotherhood front group (CAIR) leader membership in the party’s executive committee

FLORIDA: The crowd cheered wildy as Broward County Republicans deny a Muslim Brotherhood front group (CAIR) leader membership in the party’s executive committee

Republicans, who changed their rules to publicly vet Nezar Hamze and then vote on his application by secret ballot, said they didn’t oppose him because he was a Muslim, but because he is associated with the Terrorist Front Group CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), whose Washington-area affiliate was an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal terrorism trial.

Thank you, BNI readers, I know all your emails and phone calls helped in securing this more than appropriate decision.
Miami Herald  (H/T Annie) Hamze, director of CAIR Florida, said his local group hadnothing to do with the suspect activities in Washington. (Of course he did, indirectly, he belongs to the same organization that funds Islamic terror groups like Hamas overseas) He said CAIR advocates for civil rights for Muslims, who have been unfairlytargeted ever since 9/11. (And he is a liar, too. Nothing unfair about targeting the people most likely to be terrorists)
“I’m aligned with Republican values. And I want to serve the party,” said Hamze, who earlier told a reporter that any effort to block him was the result of anti-Islamic “bigotry.” (Yes, we hate stealth jihadists and hope you will change your party affiliation immediately)
At times, when he addressed the packed room at the Sheraton Suites in Fort Lauderdale, a few members shouted out among the crowd of about 300. “Terrorist!” said one man. “Let him speak!” said another.
Members of Broward’s Republican Party said Hamze was making a mockery of their rules and was trying to become a member as a publicity stunt.
“I don’t have a positive impression of Mr. Hamze. I don’t think he will be an asset to our party,” said Scott Spages, who is involved in programs concerning radical Islam at his church, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale.
Nezar Hamze defending members of a local mosque who were arrested on charges of sending money to the Taliban in Pakistan. He also tells media that Shari'a law is not a threat to America.
In the end, the Broward Republican Executive Committee voted 158-11 (Who are the 11 who voted for him? Kick them out too) to block him from committee membership. He can still attend meetings, but only as a member of the public. “Wow,” he said afterward. “If I had realized it would be like that, I wish they had just sent me a letter saying I was denied.” (Oh, no, it was much more fun to see the outrage on your face)
One Broward Republican member, blogger Javier Manjarres, objected to the process. “They singled him out,” Manjarres said. “It was a set up.” (No, Hamze was the set-up – a muslim terrorist supporting plant)
Hamze's nasty exchange with Allen West at Town Hall Meeting
Aside from questioning his motives, there was also a dispute about how long he had been a Republican. Party Vice Chair Collen Stolberg said Hamze became a registered Republican only in August and that before then he was registered with no party affiliation. (Told you it was a set up to infiltrate the GOP)
Of the 11 applicants for the party, only Hamze was rejected — the first time anyone in the room could recall that happening in a county where Republicans complain about how outnumbered they are by Democrats. Prior to deciding the new-member applications, a Republican successfully moved to change party rules and require that applicants say how long they’ve been a Republican and to take five minutes worth of questions for the crowd.
Hamze called it “The Hamze rule.” (And you can be sure it will be applied to any other muslim)
A new litmus test was then born: Do you support Rep. Allen West? The tea-party Republican has repeatedly denounced Islam and clashed with Hamze. So has Joe Kaufman, chairman of the group Citizens Against Hate and the vice-chairman of the Republican Jewish Coalition of South Florida. “Are you willing to support Congressman Allen West… as a Republican?” Kaufman said loudly in the microphone. “Will you denounce terrorism? And your organization has been named a terrorist organization.” (EXCELLENT. A test that should be given to all GOP presidential candidates as well)
Hamze said he couldn’t comment on the politics of CAIR because it’s a non-profit non-partisan (Non-partisan? Oh that’s rich) group. He later said he denounces terrorism and that he’s not involved in any terrorist activities. (That’s what they all say, they all lie)
Hamze said he was considering filing a complaint with the Republican Party of Florida because the county party’s constitution says that a “vacancy shall be filled” by a qualified Republican — that is, one who is a registered Republican who lives in the county. (Knock yourself out)
But the constitution also says that a vacancy “shall be filled by majority vote.” And he lost that badly. Before the meeting, a group circulated a petition bashing Hamze.
After the vote, Broward Executive Committee Chairman Richard DeNapolis said simply: “Mr. Hamze, your membership has been denied.”

Indonesia suicide church bomber kills at least one

Indonesia suicide church bomber kills at least one

Police outside the church in Solo, Indonesia (25 Sept 2011)
The bomber is reported to have struck as
worshipers were leaving a Sunday service

At least one person has been killed and several injured by a suicide bombing at a church in Central Java, Indonesia.
Witnesses said the bomber struck as people were leaving the Bethel Injil Sepuluh church in Keputon, Solo after a Sunday service.
Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim country but is officially a secular state.
Militant Islamist groups have carried out a number of deadly attacks in recent years.
Indonesia's security minister Djoko Suyanto said two people had been killed - one at the church and one who died of their injuries in hospital. It is unclear if the two included the bomber.
"Some of the wounded were treated in two hospitals in Solo, while some of them were allowed to return home," he said.
'Inhuman attack' One witness, Fani, said she had heard the blast as she was leaving the church.
"Everyone was screaming," she told Metro TV. "I saw fiery sparks and, near the entrance, a man dead on the ground... People around him were splattered with blood."
A hospital official, Bambang Sumarsono, said 20 people had been injured, three seriously, the Associated Press news agency reports.
    Map
Earlier, Mr Suyanto told El Shinta radio that nothing could justify the "inhuman" attack.
"It is the task of everybody to overcome this act of terrorism," he said.
He said he had spoken to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who had "conveyed his deep condolences for those who are now being treated in hospital".
The identity of the bomber and the motive behind the attack are not yet known.
Solo is the hometown of Abu Bakar Ba'asyir, considered to be the spiritual leader of the Islamist militant group Jemaah Islamiah (JI), which has links to al-Qaeda.
JI has been blamed for a string of attacks in Indonesia, including the 2002 Bali bombings which killed 202 people.
The group has been significantly weakened by the arrest or killing of many of its key leaders, but lone bombers have continued to carry out attacks. In June this year, Ba'asyir was jailed for 15 years for supporting a militant training camp.

Canada First To Sign Antisemitism Protocol

Canada First To Sign Antisemitism Protocol

    by Andy Levy-Ajzenkopf, Staff Reporter  |  CJNews.com  |  September 20, 2011

    OttawaProtocolOnCombatingAntisemitism
Ottawa, September 19, 2011- Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney , and Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird, host an event where the Ottawa Protocol on Combating Antisemitism is signed.

Fittingly, Canada is the first country to sign the Ottawa Protocol on combating antisemitism.
The document was drafted in Ottawa at the November 2010 Conference on Combating Antisemitism and was signed last week by Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney and Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird.
It represents the outgrowth of a series of conferences by the Inter-Parliamentary Coalition to Combat Anti-Semitism (IC-CA), which co-hosted the Ottawa conference along with the government of Canada last year.
The protocol contains a series of measures that seek to end hateful propaganda online and in places such as university campuses and distinguishes valid criticism of Israel from antisemitism.
“Criticism of Israel similar to that levelled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic,” the protocol states. “But singling Israel out for selective condemnation and opprobrium - let alone denying its right to exist or seeking its destruction - is discriminatory and hateful, and not saying so is dishonest.”
Jewish community leaders and groups hailed the government's signing of the document last week.
The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) commended the signing. In a statement, CIJA CEO Shimon Fogel called the document “groundbreaking” in its findings and recommendations.
The Ottawa Protocol “will serve as the basis of the renewed international effort against antisemitism. The fact that this important document was crafted in Ottawa is further testimony to Canada's leadership role in this vital global battle,” he said.
Fogel added: “We are hopeful that the recommendations of the Ottawa Protocol will not only be adopted by other countries, but will serve as a model for countering all forms of hatred and discrimination.”
At the signing, Kenney said Canada is fighting anti-Semitism in a number of ways.
“The Ottawa Protocol complements what Canada is already doing to combat hatred and discrimination, including antisemitism,” he said. “We are a member of the Task Force for International Co-operation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research. Here at home, we have launched programs to promote integration and social cohesion of Canadians from all backgrounds."
The Canadian Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Centre  (FSWC) also praised the government for becoming the docu-ment's first official signatory.
In a statement, Avi Benlolo, president and CEO said his organization applauded the government's “principled leadership” on the issue.
“With the exceptional and pernicious rise of antisemitism throughout the world, the Ottawa Protocol sets an exam-ple for other nations to follow,” Benlolo said. “This announcement is particularly meaningful as Jews around the world watch in sadness as the racist Durban III conference in New York provides yet one more international forum for attacking the Jewish people, while here in Canada we read about another antisemitic inci-dent in which a swastika was carved on an Edmonton hill.”

Sweden: Government will spend $620,000 on protecting Jews

Sweden: Government will spend $620,000 on protecting Jews

Earlier this year, Hollywood cancelled making a movie in Sweden about Jews, because they estimated that "Sweden [is] a VERY unsafe place for the Jewish community due to the large and increasingly hostile community of Muslims.” During the 2nd World War, Sweden was a safe haven for Jews. Now Jews have to flee Sweden because of Muslim immigrants' hateful and violent anti-Semitism.
Finally, the Swedish government takes action. Not by limiting immigration of Islamic supremacists, but by spending a (ridiculously small) amount of money on the "protection of Jews":
From the Swedish government's official homepage:
Four million kroner (620,000 USD) for security of Jewish minority Press release, September 5th 2011
    Department of Work
The Government will spend four million kroner in 2012 on increasing the security and decreasing the vulnerability of the Jewish minority. Research shows that even though tolerance is increasing in society, anti-Semitic views have not decreased to the same extent. The Jewish minority is the subject of anti-Semitic hate crimes and harassment. Even children are harassed in everyday life. Many Jews in Sweden are afraid of openly showing that they belong to the Jewish minority.

Michael Gove has said former MI5 spies are being recruited to root out Islamic fanatics in schools

FORMER MI5 spies are being recruited to root out Islamic fanatics in schools, Education Secretary Michael Gove said yesterday.
Ministers are understood to be so worried about the influence of Muslim preachers of hate and other extremists in the classrooms that a new unit has been set up.
They have recruited former members of the secret service with expertise in the Islamist terrorist threat to investigate.
Mr Gove is concerned that comprehensive schools and the Government’s new generation of “free schools” may be targeted by extremists.
“We have been working with people who have been in the Intelligence Services in order to ensure that there is no-one from the wrong sort of background involved in education,” he said.
“And, I should add, not just with the free schools,” Mr Gove told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show.
“There have been one or two disturbing cases with existing state schools where people have been trying to subvert them.”
    ì
It’s more rigorous in the allocation of public money than any previous government department.
    î
Whitehall sources confirmed that a “due diligence unit” with former MI5 staff had been set up within the Department for Education to probe for extremists in schools.
Mr Gove insisted that he was determined not to allow anyone to establish a “free school” which are designed to be formed by local communities and funded by the Government. All applicants to set up the new educational establishments, which are free from local council control and can be run by parents or voluntary groups, would be vetted by the new investigation unit.
He said: “I’ve been crystal clear we should not have schools set up by extremists whether they’re Christian fundamentalists, Islamic fundamentalists or any other sort of outrageous and beyond-the-pale organisation

“We’ve set up a unit within the Department explicitly to monitor anyone who comes forward with a proposal for extremism.
“It’s more rigorous in the allocation of public money than any previous government department.
“In the last government, we had money going to extremist groups that was supposed to go to fight terrorism. Now we have a unit in place to prevent that.”
Mr Gove also said believers in fringe scientific movements such as “creationism” which rejects Darwin’s theory of evolution were banned from setting up schools.
He said: “I’m passionate about science and I’m determined to make sure our country becomes more cohesive. I’ve said we will not sign any funding agreements with these organisations.
“More than that, we are reviewing the science curriculum, the national curriculum overall, to make sure there’s no space for the teaching of wackoidal theories.”

3 Boston Islamic charity leaders convicted again

    By Associated Press
    Thursday, September 1, 2011 -

A federal appeals court on Thursday overturned the acquittal of a Libyan man and two associates who were accused of conspiring to dupe the U.S. government into granting tax-exempt status to a defunct Muslim charity by hiding its pro-jihad activities.
The appeals court reinstated the jury’s guilty verdict against Libya’s Emadeddin Muntasser together with Samir Al-Monla and Muhammed Mubayyid. The three founded and led the defunct Boston-based Care International Inc.
The organization described its mission as helping war orphans, widows and refugees in Muslim nations. But prosecutors argued that it was a successor to a U.S. branch of a group founded by Osama bin Laden to recruit, fund and transport Muslim militants involved in armed conflicts around the world. The group also distributed a newsletter and published a website promoting jihad and supported extremists.

A jury found the three men guilty in January 2008 of conspiring to trick the government into awarding their organization tax-exempt status by hiding its pro-jihad activities. Jurors also convicted Muntasser of lying to federal officials and Mubayyid of making false statements to federal officials and filing false tax returns.
But a federal judge overturned the tax conspiracy conviction, saying the evidence did not support the verdict.
The government and defendants appealed. Prosecutors argued that although facts proved at trial differed from those alleged in the indictment, they did not alter the crime charged. Muntasser and Mubayyid claimed that that "terrorism" evidence admitted to prove the conspiracy charges was so extensive, inflammatory and prejudicial that it must have spilled over into the jury’s consideration of their guilt on other charges.
The appeals court sided with prosecutors in a ruling released Thursday, saying "the jury asked several incisive questions during deliberation that demonstrated its discriminating appraisal of all the evidence."
The case has been sent back to the district court whose judge will sentence Al-Monla and re-sentence Muntasser and Mubayyid.
Their attorneys did not immediately respond to calls for comment.
Muntasser was born in Libya and was the founder of Care International. Mubayyid was born in Lebanon and was the group’s former treasurer. Al-Monla, the group’s president from 1996 to 1998, was born in Kuwait and is a U.S. citizen.
Their charity group, which was not affiliated with the well-known global relief organization CARE International, raised $1.7 million in donations from 1993 to 2001.
Prosecutors acknowledged Care did some legitimate charity work, but said the group concealed non-charitable activities from the government. Prosecutors said, among other things, the men didn’t disclose that Care had ties to the Al-Kifah Refugee Center in New York, which was linked to the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.
