Following Earthquake, Israel Sends Aid to Turkey

Following the devastating 7.2-magnitude quake that struck Turkey this past Sunday, Israel offered humanitarian aid to the Turkish government and to aid Turkey in any way it that it could.

Defense Minister, Ehud Barak, ordered the Israeli defense system to send a special aid delegation to Turkey in response, after the offer was accepted by the Turkish authorities. Barak stated that, "The humanitarian gesture to Turkey was forthcoming regardless of the [diplomatic] crisis. We remember their assistance during the Carmel forest fires… We will send everything necessary and whatever they ask for."
Israeli Air Force aircraft brought prefabricated houses and other supplies to Eastern Turkey today (October 27). The assistance is focused on temporary buildings necessary for the rehabilitation of people rescued and evacuated at disaster sites in Turkey, as well as essential field hospital structures.

The Turkish request was transferred via the Israeli Consul stationed in Ankara.
Two days ago Defense Minister Barak already spoke to Maj. Gen. Amos Gilad, Director of Policy and Political-Military Affairs of the Israeli Defense Ministry, offering Turkish authorities any assistance needed in dealing with the earthquake that took place in eastern Turkey. In response, the Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz instructed the IDF to prepare for the possibility of a search and rescue aid delegation sent to Turkey. The Home Front Command prepared the relevant forces.
Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu spoke with his Turkish counterpart expressing his condolences for the deaths and damage caused by the earthquake. Israeli President, Shimon Peres, spoke with Abdullah Gul, his Turkish counterpart, expressing his condolences and offering assistance from Israel.
Israel has sent humanitarian aid and earthquake relief to Turkey in the past. Following the powerful Izmit earthquake in 1999, Israeli rescue teams treated thousands of victims, pulled survivors from the rubble and saved many lives.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies have stated that "hundreds, possibly thousands" of people are still trapped underneath the wreckage. As of Wednesday it was reported that 459 people have been killed in the earthquake that struck eastern Turkey on Sunday, with many more injured and still missing.

Thousands of Egyptian Americans representing oppressed and persecuted Coptic Christians streamed down Washington, DC’s Pennsylvania Avenue Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Their demonstration had begun in front of the White House. It ended with a rally at the U.S. Capitol.
Copts, who traveled by the busloads from such places as Chicago, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, came to Washington to protest the brutal treatment of Egypt’s Christians and demand that the Obama administration pressure Cairo to protect the rights of non-Muslims. They also wished to call attention to congressional legislation that supports Copts and other vulnerable people groups. The demonstration was a response to an Egyptian army-led massacre of Christians on Sunday, October 9, in Cairo.
On October 9, Egyptian Christians had staged a peaceful demonstration and a march through downtown Cairo to protest the burning of a church and several Christian-owned homes and businesses in Upper Egypt on September 30. The Christian protestors were attacked by an Islamist mob near an underpass cutting through downtown Cairo. They were pelted with rocks, bricks, Molotov cocktails, and otherwise molested. Then when the Christians reached their destination, Maspero Square, Egyptian military forces were already aligned against them to quell the demonstration.
Seeming to have forgotten Field Marshall Hussein Tantawi’s recent testimony that the army would “never . . . open fire at citizens,” the army did indeed open fire on the protestors, killing twenty-one. Later, when the army was leaving the bloodbath it had created, one soldier bragged that he had shot a Copt in the chest and killed him. The Muslim crowd cheered, shouting, “This is the real Egyptian army!”
Six other Christians at the demonstration were crushed under armored personnel carriers when those vehicles deliberately plowed into crowds of protestors. A Compass Direct News Service report called the attack “the worst act of violence against Egyptian Christians in modern history.” In addition to the twenty-six people that were killed, hundreds of others were wounded by the army’s attack. The army attack left Egypt’s Christians shocked and devastated.
At Wednesday’s demonstration in Washington, the American Copts pointed out that U.S. tax payer dollars fund the tanks that killed the Egyptian Christians. Many people, including members of Congress, ask why the U.S. continues to give hundreds of millions of dollars annually in financial aid to a country with such an abysmal human rights record. Over $70 billion has been given in aid since the Camp David accords, notes columnist Mike McManus. Some of the Coptic protestors in Washington held signs declaring, “Your Tax Dollars Kill Christians in Egypt.”
Other demonstrators carried a variety of other messages. Some of the protestors held large photographs depicting the horrific events at Maspero Square. Others carried Bible verses speaking of the persecution of the Church, or messages to the world such as “1400 years of Islamic oppression: We still stand defiant!”
Many of the people carried large wooden crosses or American flags. And a few carried black wooden coffins that they placed on the sidewalk in front of the White House. Together they raised their voices in such chants for justice as, “Why, why, must we die?” “Obama, Obama, where are you?” “Coptic blood is not cheap!” and “USA, wake up!”
As the protestors had declared, Copts and other Egyptian Christians, along with Egypt’s tiny Baha’i community and tinier Jewish community, have, to varying degrees, been victims of discrimination and persecution for 14 centuries. The Copts are descendants of ancient Egyptians converted to Christianity by Saint Mark, who founded the Church of Alexandria in 43 AD. But since the Arab conquest of Egypt in 640 AD, Egyptian Christians have lived as dhimmi, second-class citizens, under Islam.
Since the Tahrir Square demonstrations and President Mubarak?’s ouster in February 2011, threats to Egyptian Christians have come from both the usual Islamic-mob-inspired-by-local-Imam-after-Friday-prayers scenario and increasingly from the military and security forces. For instance, in February of 2011, two Coptic monasteries were attacked by the army because they had built walls to protect themselves from looters and criminals set loose from prisons by anti-Mubarak rebels.
Then in March, a mob of Islamists burned down the Church of the Two Martyrs in Sool, a village south of Cairo, after the local Imam issued a call for them to “kill all the Christians.” The pastor, who was almost killed in the fire, said that the clamor of the church being destroyed “sounded like hatred.” And villagers describing the scene to Compass Direct News Service said that the mob broke into the church chanting, “Allalu Akbar,” looting it, demolishing the walls with sledgehammers, and setting a fire.
“Looters removed anything valuable, including several containers holding the remains of venerated Copts – most of whom were killed in other waves of persecution – then stomped and kicked the containers like soccer balls,” witnesses told Compass Direct. More churches and Christian properties were attacked and burned and Christians killed and injured throughout 2011, leading up to the attack at the Maspero Building.
Egypt’s Christians had hopes that the Arab Spring would be for them, as well as for Muslims. Sadly, Egypt’s transformation has increased the influence and power of Islamic extremists in the country. This is unfortunate for all, but as is evident, it is lethal for the Christians. In the words of one Coptic Christian from New Jersey to The Washington Post, “We Christians have faced Islamic oppression for 1400 years, but now it is getting much more ugly.” And they wonder what new problems Egypt’s coming elections will bring. Some even suggest that the only solution is for all the Copts to leave their homeland, but American Copts hope that the United States will help their co-religionists and other vulnerable minorities in Egypt.
So far the response of the Obama administration to the attack on the Copts has been underwhelming. An October 10 White House statement by the Press Secretary featured the typical moral equivalency also found in statements about Israel, Sudan, and elsewhere, expressing the President’s deep concern about “the tragic loss of life among demonstrators and security forces.”
The President’s statement did stress that the rights of minorities and their religious freedom must be respected. But the takeaway from the remarks was the breathtaking admonition, “Now is a time for restraint on all sides.” White House Dossier reporter, Keith Koffler, says that Obama is “not only equating the deaths of peaceful protestors and their killers, but he is suggesting that Egypt’s increasingly persecuted Christian minority should show as much ‘restraint’ as their tormentors and refrain from vigorously objecting to the growing abuse.”
There is a stronger response to the Copts’ dilemma at the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue. One recent action in Congress that may help Coptic Christians and other religious minorities is a bill introduced in the House by U.S. Rep. Frank R. Wolf (H.R. 440), the co-chair, along with U.S. Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA) of the Religious Minorities in the Middle East Caucus in the House of Representatives.
The legislation, calling for the establishment of a special envoy to promote religious freedom of religious minorities in the Near East and South Central Asia, passed overwhelmingly in the House. Now the Senate version (S. 1245), introduced by Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO), is languishing in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. But the American Copts hope that hearings on the atrocities taking place, along with other publicity and the full enactment of the bill, will give voice and support to those who have not felt the warmth of spring in their experience of Egypt’s transformation.

How to Campaign Against a Mosque Planning Application

1. Start Your Action Group
You will need a core group within the campaign. You can’t do this all on your own!
The more you publicise the campaign, the more support you will get, and people will respond better if they can see that you are organised.
Councils also take notice of the fact that there’s an action group that people have formed on this issue. All you need to do is create a header in Word, e.g. “Action for XYZ Location”. Then assign jobs to people – doorstepping, press, organising letter-writing.
A petition can get the attention of the media, but Local Authorities often ignore them. But a very large number of signatures will get attention.
2. Hold public meetings, and invite the press
These are necessary for raising motivation and letting people know they’re not alone, and generating face-to-face loyalty.
When fixing meetings, don’t expect any help from Local Authorities. They fear the support you can generate, but won’t help. And be careful of the press, who know they can generate publicity by painting you in a bad light. Prepare statements in advance: compassion for Muslims as the first victims of Islam, but opposition to Islam and Islamic doctrine which is supremacist in nature.
3. Get writing letters to the Local Authority (letters have more weight than petitions)
This is the hard part, getting people to write letters to the Council. And then getting them to write to the Council again if the planning application is re-submitted.
You can’t write the letters for people, but you can give them grounds which they might like to include in their letters.
You have to give them contact details for the officer to write to at the Council. It takes a lot of effort to get people to write, but it’s worth it because Councils take notice of letters.
4. Legal and policy argument
It is useful to have a legal analysis of planning policy for the site, to give technical support as to why the site would be more suited to something else. This will often include traffic and congestion.
However, I think the main argument should be on principle – that there are enough mosques in the area and the country, and that Islamic doctrine is discriminatory and hate filled and, therefore, contrary to law. And that the Local Authority or Planning Inspectorate doesn’t have the power to grant planning permission for an unlawful use such as this.
It’s important to keep the campaigning side on the front foot, and the same is true of the legal side. You have nothing to apologise for, and nothing to be defensive about.
You have every right and duty to defend that tradition of law and freedom at home.

Republicans, who changed their rules to publicly vet Nezar Hamze and then vote on his application by secret ballot, said they didn’t oppose him because he was a Muslim, but because he is associated with the Terrorist Front Group CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), whose Washington-area affiliate was an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal terrorism trial.

Miami Herald  (H/T Annie) Hamze, director of CAIR Florida, said his local group hadnothing to do with the suspect activities in Washington. (Of course he did, indirectly, he belongs to the same organization that funds Islamic terror groups like Hamas overseas) He said CAIR advocates for civil rights for Muslims, who have been unfairlytargeted ever since 9/11. (And he is a liar, too. Nothing unfair about targeting the people most likely to be terrorists)

“I’m aligned with Republican values. And I want to serve the party,” said Hamze, who earlier told a reporter that any effort to block him was the result of anti-Islamic “bigotry.” (Yes, we hate stealth jihadists and hope you will change your party affiliation immediately)
At times, when he addressed the packed room at the Sheraton Suites in Fort Lauderdale, a few members shouted out among the crowd of about 300. “Terrorist!” said one man. “Let him speak!” said another.
Members of Broward’s Republican Party said Hamze was making a mockery of their rules and was trying to become a member as a publicity stunt.
“I don’t have a positive impression of Mr. Hamze. I don’t think he will be an asset to our party,” said Scott Spages, who is involved in programs concerning radical Islam at his church, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale.

In the end, the Broward Republican Executive Committee voted 158-11 (Who are the 11 who voted for him? Kick them out too) to block him from committee membership. He can still attend meetings, but only as a member of the public. “Wow,” he said afterward. “If I had realized it would be like that, I wish they had just sent me a letter saying I was denied.” (Oh, no, it was much more fun to see the outrage on your face)
One Broward Republican member, blogger Javier Manjarres, objected to the process. “They singled him out,” Manjarres said. “It was a set up.” (No, Hamze was the set-up – a muslim terrorist supporting plant)

Aside from questioning his motives, there was also a dispute about how long he had been a Republican. Party Vice Chair Collen Stolberg said Hamze became a registered Republican only in August and that before then he was registered with no party affiliation. (Told you it was a set up to infiltrate the GOP)
Of the 11 applicants for the party, only Hamze was rejected — the first time anyone in the room could recall that happening in a county where Republicans complain about how outnumbered they are by Democrats. Prior to deciding the new-member applications, a Republican successfully moved to change party rules and require that applicants say how long they’ve been a Republican and to take five minutes worth of questions for the crowd.
Hamze called it “The Hamze rule.” (And you can be sure it will be applied to any other muslim)
A new litmus test was then born: Do you support Rep. Allen West? The tea-party Republican has repeatedly denounced Islam and clashed with Hamze. So has Joe Kaufman, chairman of the group Citizens Against Hate and the vice-chairman of the Republican Jewish Coalition of South Florida. “Are you willing to support Congressman Allen West… as a Republican?” Kaufman said loudly in the microphone. “Will you denounce terrorism? And your organization has been named a terrorist organization.” (EXCELLENT. A test that should be given to all GOP presidential candidates as well)

Hamze said he couldn’t comment on the politics of CAIR because it’s a non-profit non-partisan (Non-partisan? Oh that’s rich) group. He later said he denounces terrorism and that he’s not involved in any terrorist activities. (That’s what they all say, they all lie)
Hamze said he was considering filing a complaint with the Republican Party of Florida because the county party’s constitution says that a “vacancy shall be filled” by a qualified Republican — that is, one who is a registered Republican who lives in the county. (Knock yourself out)
But the constitution also says that a vacancy “shall be filled by majority vote.” And he lost that badly. Before the meeting, a group circulated a petition bashing Hamze.
After the vote, Broward Executive Committee Chairman Richard DeNapolis said simply: “Mr. Hamze, your membership has been denied.”

CAIR is integral piece of the Jihadist infrastructure in America. The organization is wholly subversive in nature,deceptive at every turn, and committed to destroying the west from within.

CAIR and it's political influence span from coast-to-coast and they are performing the critical mission of acting as a propaganda arm for stealth Jihad with a great deal of success. They have connections all over in Washington and they are constantly being referenced by the leftist media.

Every member of CAIR should rounded up, charged with treason, and, after successful prosecution, a full measure of retribution should be applied to each one, rendering the threat coming from them null, void, and dead. That aside, Ibrahim Hooper, the spokes-hole for CAIR, made an interesting observation in the video below.

It's the same observation I've heard from people who have been in the counter-Jihad movement for many years. Both sides seem to agree, the small and vocal group of people speaking out and saying "no more Islam" are starting to have a noticeable impact and are actually changing the dynamics of the game.



In Hooper's observation, it's been within the last "two years" that things have really started changing for the worse in the eyes of Muhammad's minions. That matches pretty close the observations of those on the side of the counter-Jihad.

It seems pretty clear to me, the Muzzies are feeling the pressure of a society which is starting to wake up and beginning the process of rejecting the insanity of Islam.

According to CAIR, 50% of the Muslims say they are discriminated against, many Muslims say it's worse than immediately after 9/11, and they are all whining as loud as they possibly can about "Islamaphobia". Those are strong signs of progress in the counter-jihad and very positive indicators. Hopefully, next year, Hooper will have to report an increase of 10% or so.

Devout Americans are disgusted by Islam

The recent FBI sting operation in Baltimore resulted in the apprehension of very "spiritual" Muslim. Antonio Martinez is an Allah fearing, Qur'an believing, and Prophet praising soldier of Allah, precisely of the caliber demanded by Prophet Pedophile.

Imam Martinez is a naturalized citizen of the United States of America, and clearly not naturalized from a Muslim country. He was not born a Muslim, but instead chose to disavow American values, adopt the religion of slaughter, and follow the way of the Prophet. The way of the Prophet is genocide, world domination, and complete loyalty to Allah's army through it all.


Even though his attempt to worship Allah was completely controlled by the FBI, and he never actually had the opportunity to perpetrate his massacre, Antonio is a good Muslim and the Prophet would have been happy with the sentiment.

The purported mother of Martinez told the AP that she is a "devout American", expressed embarrassment at the actions of her son, and said she was upset about what he had become. Whoever this lady is, she is a good American and speaking the truth.

Devoutly American individuals do hate Islam and don't want anything to do with it. Islam was founded by a child molesting rapist and he was also a blood thirsty genocidal lunatic.

Nezar Hamze, the Florida Director of the Center for Islamic American Relations (CAIR), has told the Shark Tank that he intends to join the local Broward Republican Executive Committee (BREC), and ask for a club charter to start the first ‘Islamic-Republican club’ in the county. Hamze said that he spoke to Broward GOP Chairman Richard DeNapoli about his intentions, and said that DeNapoli did not deny him the opportunity to start an Islamic-Republican club, let alone join the committee. Hamze is best known for his confrontation with Congressman Allen West earlier this year, where he attended a townhall meeting with a Koran in hand, to confront West.
Hamze considers himself as being ‘very conservative’, and believes his political views are in-line with the Republican party’s political platform. The local GOP Chairman ran for his current position on a ‘GOP Unity’ platform, and said he would work with ‘all’ Republicans in the county. The ‘big tent’ Broward Republican party already has a religion-based club/coalition, named the Broward Republican Jewish Outreach. So will there be an Broward Republican Islamic Outreach club in the near future?

At a townhall meeting hosted by Congressman Allen West on Monday evening in Pompano Beach, the Q&A segment of the meeting featured a Koran wielding Nezar Hamze, Executive Director of the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR). Hamze confronted Congressman West and asked him to point out where in the Koran does it give marching orders to Muslims “to carry out attacks against Americans and innocent people”. West quickly pointed out that the Koran was written long before America even existed and that it does indeed tell believers to kill infidels, and then proceeded to chronicle a lengthy list of historical Muslim acts of aggression. Congressman West closed his retort by referencing the Fort Hood shootings and 9-11 attacks, saying that his first hand experiences on the battlefield has given him insight into the tactics that Islamists use before telling Hamze not to “try to blow sunshine up my butt” with his criticism of him. West took offense to Hamze’s amateurish criticism of his stance on radical Islam and concluded by telling Mr. Hamze to “put the microphone down and go home.”

The Center for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) recently granted me an interview with Nezar Hamze, the South Florida Chapter’s Executive Director for the purpose of addressing misconceptions and dispelling all of the accusations that have been leveled against the organization. Hamze explained that CAIR has many independently run chapters across the country with its headquarters located in Washington D.C. Hamze also states that CAIR was established to protect the civil rights of Muslims and educate people about Islam.
Mr. Hamze says that both he and his organization repudiates any violence by terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah:.

Any organization, any person who take it upon themselves to take an innocent life, and an innocent life meaning someone standing on the side of the street, not doing anything and they get killed-that person has lost their path, that person has lost the straight way, and it is against Islam to take an innocent life… anybody that takes an innocent life, any organization, any government has lost their path, and we cannot be with them,we are not with them, as far as Islamically standing, we are not with them.”

Hamze insists that CAIR is not tied to the Muslim Brotherhood or any other Terrorist organization like Hamas, and he repudiates Hamas and its terrorist activities.

Hamas has made the decision, now, Hamas has been attacked, obviously, but Hamas has made the decision to take innocent lives and we cannot stand with them. Period, it’s very clear.

Mr. Hamze goes on to state that he supports the Palestinian people, and that Palestine also needs assistance and should become a state just as Israel is. Hamze supports Israel as a state, but believes that Palestine should be afforded the same opportunity for statehood that Israel has enjoyed. Hamze then explains some of the tenants of sharia, and he offered his insight into sharia in an effort to dispel the the growing criticism against sharia that is facing throughout the world.

Muslims wonder why so many muslims are on the NO-FLY list?

The calls have reached a point of repetitive regularity for muslim civil rights lawyer Gadeir Abbas: A young muslim-American, somewhere in the world, is barred from boarding an airplane. (And this is a bad thing, because why?)

The exact reasons are never fully articulated, but the reality is clear. The traveler has been placed on the government’s terror watchlist—or the more serious no-fly list—and clearing one’s name becomes a legal and bureaucratic nightmare.
On Monday Abbas sent letters to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and FBI Director Robert Mueller requesting assistance for his two most recent clients. One is a resident of Portland, Ore. who is trying to fly to Italy to live with his mother. The other, a teenager and U.S. citizen living in Jordan, has been unable to travel to Connecticut to lead prayers at a mosque.
“All American citizens have the unqualified right to reside in the United States,” Abbas wrote Monday in a letter to secretary of State Hillary Clinton seeking a change in status for the client in Jordan.
Abbas, a lawyer with the Terrorist Front Group CAIR Council on American-Islamic Relations, tries to piece together the reason why a client has been placed on the list. (Gee, let me guess) Perhaps a person has a similar name to a known terrorist. Maybe their travels to Yemen or some other Middle East hot spot have garnered suspicion. Maybe they told the FBI to take a hike when they requested an interview. (All valid reasons to keep muslims off planes)

Ultimately, though, the reasons are almost irrelevant. From Abbas’ perspective, the placement on the no-fly list amounts to a denial of a traveler’s basic rights: U.S. citizens can’t return home from overseas vacations, children are separated from parents, and those under suspicion are denied the basic due process rights that would allow them to clear their name. (Good!)
Abbas describes the security bureaucracy as Kafkaesque, a labyrinthine maze of overlapping agencies, all of which refuse to provide answers unless they are threatened with legal action. One lawsuit is still pending in federal court in Alexandria, Va. That case has followed what has become a familiar pattern: Abbas either files a lawsuit or exposes the case to public scrutiny through the media, and within a few days the individual in question is able to travel. Government officials then ask a judge to dismiss any lawsuits that were filed, saying the cases are now moot.
“The amount of people who experience tragic, life-altering travel delays is significant,” said Abbas, who estimates he gets a call at least once a month from a Muslim American in dire straits because their travel has been restricted. (Life altering? Dire straits? Oh please, so what if they miss their pilgrimage to Mecca?)
Government officials, of course, see it differently. They say they have a Traveler Redress Inquiry Program that lets people wrongly placed on the no-fly list, or the much broader terrorist watchlist, fix their circumstances. More broadly, the government has argued in court that placing somebody on the no-fly list does not deprive them of any constitutional rights. Just because a person can’t fly doesn’t mean they can’t travel, the government lawyers argue. They can always take a boat, for example. (Or a camel)

“Neither Plaintiff nor any other American citizen has either a right to international travel or a right to travel by airplane,” government lawyers wrote in their defense against a lawsuit by another of Abbas’ clients. The teenager from Virginia had found himself stuck in Kuwait after suspicions about has travel to Somalia apparently landed him on the no-fly list.
Exactly how many people are on the government’s lists is unclear. Some of the most recent estimates, from late 2009, state that about 400,000 individuals are on the “watchlist,” which requires a “reasonable suspicion” that the person is known or suspected to be engaged in terrorist activities. A much smaller number—about 14,000—is on the “selectee list,” meaning they will likely have to undergo rigorous screening to travel. And officials estimated that 3,400 individuals, including roughly 170 U.S. residents, are on the no-fly list.
Michael Migliore was told by security officials last month that he is on the no-fly list after he tried to take a flight from Portland, Ore., to Italy following his college graduation. Migliore, 23, a Muslim, suspects he was placed on the no-fly list after he refused to talk to the FBI without a lawyer in November 2010, when the bureau was investigating an acquaintance charged in a plot to detonate bomb at a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. (They should let him fly…after they deport him)
In another case, an 18 year-old U.S. citizen living in Jordan with his parents was bounced from an EgyptAir flight to New York. Amr Abulrub had planned to lead

Ramadan prayers at a Connecticut mosque. After a few days of confusion, Abulrub learned from airline officials that the U.S. government had instructed EgyptAir to cancel his ticket. U.S. embassy officials in Amman have subsequently told Abulrub he can travel under certain restrictions, including a requirement that his flight to the U.S. be booked on an American airline. But Abulrub is leery of traveling at all for fear that he won’t be allowed to go back to Jordan. (The U.S. is where he shouldn’t be allowed to return)

Abulrub’s father, Jalal Abulrub, suspects his son has come to the attention of U.S. authorities because of his own writings. Jalal is a Salafist scholar who has sometimes written provocative articles and antagonized Christian evangelists he believed were disrespectful to Muslims. While Jalal says his family is Salafist—generally considered a fundamentalist sect of Islam—he is quick to point out that he has a long history of writing in opposition to the ideology espoused by Osama bin laden and al-Qaida. (Yeah, sure he did)
“I am not going to let this go,” Jalal said, referring to his son’s inability to travel. “We don’t allow anyone to oppress us.” (Then get out of this country if you don’t like it)
